The Bachelor in Banking and Finance (Hons) with a specialism in Investment Analytics at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with comprehensive knowledge in financial products, investment analysis, and risk management. This program prepares graduates for dynamic roles such as Portfolio Manager, Investment Executive, and Risk Analyst.
Program Structure
- Level 1: Fundamental skills in banking and finance, including quantitative skills, financial accounting, and business law.
- Level 2: Advanced topics such as financial management, financial econometrics, and applications of AI in finance.
- Internship: 16-week industrial training to bridge academic learning with practical experience.
- Level 3: In-depth studies in risk management, financial derivatives, and portfolio management, culminating in an individual research project.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: 2 Passes with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) and a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM Level or equivalent.
- A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in any 2 subjects, and a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
- UEC: 5 Grade B’s including Mathematics with a Pass in English.
- Matriculation/Foundation: Passed with a minimum CGPA of 2.5, a Credit in Mathematics, and a Pass in English at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
- Diploma in Accounting: Passed with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE level.
- English Requirements for International Students: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL IBT 60, Pearson (PTE) 59, or MUET Band 4.
