The Bachelor in Interactive Media and Immersive Technology (Honours) with a specialism in VR/AR at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with in-depth knowledge of multimedia concepts, principles, and technologies, preparing graduates for roles such as Visual Developer, Motion Graphic Designer, and VR/AR Applications Engineer.

Program Structure

Year 1: Fundamental skills in system analysis, programming, and multimedia techniques, including modules like System Analysis & Design, Programming with Python, and Introduction to VR/AR and Metaverse.
Year 2: Advanced multimedia applications and interactive content development, with modules such as Multimedia Applications, Interactive Content Development, and Advanced Virtual Reality Technology.
Year 3: Specialized topics in stereoscopic vision systems, human-computer interaction, and a capstone project, including modules like Stereoscopic Vision System, HCI and Usability, and Multimedia Technology Project.
Internship: A 16-week industrial training to provide real-world experience and industry exposure.

Entry Requirements

STPM: 2 Passes with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject with a Pass in Mathematics at SPM; pass an interview or a portfolio review.
A-Level: 2 Passes and a Pass in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent; pass an interview or a portfolio review.
UEC: 5 Grade B Passes in any subjects including a Pass in Mathematics; pass an interview or a portfolio review.
Foundation/Matriculation: A pass with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or its equivalent; pass an interview or a portfolio review.
ICT-related Diplomas: Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or its equivalent; pass an interview or a portfolio review.
