The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (Honours) with a specialism in Forensic Accounting at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with the knowledge and skills to identify, investigate, and examine financial evidence, preparing graduates for roles such as forensic accountant, fraud investigator, and audit consultant.
Program Structure
- Level 1: Fundamental skills in accounting and finance, including financial accounting, business law, and SAP ERP systems.
- Level 2: Advanced topics such as management accounting, taxation, forensic accounting, and data analytics.
- Internship: A 16-week industrial training to bridge academic learning with real-world experience.
- Level 3: In-depth study of forensic accounting, including fraud investigation techniques, digital forensic analysis, and criminology.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: 2 Passes with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent. (MUET Band 2 is required for all Malaysian Students)
- A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in any 2 subjects, and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or its equivalent.
- UEC: 5 Grade B’s including Mathematics. (MUET Band 2 is required for all Malaysian Students)
- Matriculation/Foundation: Passed Foundation programme (minimum CGPA of 2.5) with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
- Diploma in Accounting: Passed Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE level.
- English Requirements for International Students: IELTS: 5.5; TOEFL IBT: 46; Pearson (PTE): 51; MUET: Band 4.
