Course Overview

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational topics including Introduction to Networking, Systems Software and Computing Concepts, Introduction to Databases, Python Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Integrated Computer Systems, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Digital Thinking and Innovation, Mathematical Concepts for Computing, and Introduction to C Programming.
Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Data Structures, System Development Methods, Object-Oriented Development with Java, Concurrent Programming, System & Network Administration, Computer Systems Low Level Techniques, Web Applications, and elective modules including Mobile & Wireless Technology, Mobile App Engineering, Imaging and Special Effects, Programming for Data Analysis, Interactive Content Development, Enterprise Systems, and Integrated Business Processes with SAP ERP Systems.
Year 3: Advanced topics including Algorithmics, User Experience, Advanced Database Systems, Investigations in Computer Science, and a final year project.

Entry Requirements

STPM: 2 Passes in Science stream with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.0) in Mathematics and one Science or ICT Subject; or 2 Passes in any subject with a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM.
A-Level: 2 Passes and a Credit Pass at 'O' Levels / GCSE including Mathematics.
APU Foundation or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level.
UEC: 5 Grade B's including Mathematics.
Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Minimum average of 50%.
Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT): Minimum average of 60%.
South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM): Minimum of 60%.
International Baccalaureate: Minimum 24 marks.
Victorian Certificate of Education: Minimum average of 50%.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma: Minimum average of 50%.
Any qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above.
English Requirements for International Students: IELTS: 5.0; TOEFL IBT: 40; Pearson (PTE): 47; MUET: Band 3.5.
