The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science (Cyber Security) at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with technical knowledge and skills in designing and organizing computer systems with a focus on cyber security. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Cyber Security Engineer, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, and Ethical Hacker.

Program Structure

Year 1: Fundamental skills in programming, mathematics, and algorithmic thinking; introduction to computer architecture, operating systems, networks, databases, security, and forensic technologies.
Year 2: Advanced understanding of cyber security, including system and network administration, computing theory, and implementation of secure systems.
Year 3: Refinement of personal and professional development in cyber security; completion of a final year project addressing real-world problems.
Internship: 16-week industrial training to transition from classroom to working environment.

Entry Requirements

STPM: 2 Passes in Science stream with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.0) in Mathematics and one Science or ICT subject.
A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in Science stream with a Pass in Mathematics and one Science or ICT subject.
English proficiency: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL IBT 40, Pearson (PTE) 47, or MUET Band 3.5.
