Course Overview

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Technology with a specialism in Internet of Things (IoT) at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) equips students with the knowledge to design, engineer, and develop IoT-based solutions using various platforms. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Microcontroller Programmer, Machine Learning Programmer, Cloud Security Specialist, Embedded Device Developer, and Data Scientist.

Program Structure

Degree Level 1: Fundamental skills in IT, including Computer Architecture, operating systems, networking, databases, programming, and an introduction to IoT.
Degree Level 2: Advanced understanding of IoT technologies, networking, systems programming, security, and IoT application development.
Internship: 16-week industrial training to transition from classroom to workplace.
Degree Level 3: Strategic management of cloud-based IoT systems, culminating in a final year project addressing real-world problems.

Entry Requirements

STPM: 2 Passes with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM.
A-Level: 2 Passes and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or equivalent.
Diploma: Diploma in Science, Technology, or Business studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or equivalent.
English Requirements: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL IBT 40, Pearson (PTE) 47, or MUET Band 3.5.
