Course Overview

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Architectural Design at City University Malaysia equips students with comprehensive skills in architectural design, building services, construction materials, and sustainability. Graduates are prepared for roles such as architectural technologist, project manager, and CAD specialist.

Program Structure

Year 1: Introduction to architectural design, history and theory of architecture, building services, environmental science, graphic communication, building construction, and computer-aided design (2D & 3D).
Year 2: Advanced architectural design, building structure, multimedia presentation, community architecture, sustainable and green architecture, and working drawing & specifications.
Year 3: Professional practice, environmental science, planning theory & practice, survey measurement, and measured drawing.

Entry Requirements

STPM/A Level: Minimum Grade C (GPA 2.0) in two subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Matriculation/Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Diploma: Minimum CGPA of 2.0 in Architecture or related field.
UEC: Grade B in five subjects, including Mathematics.
International students: IELTS 4.0 or equivalent.
