Course Overview

The Diploma in Architectural Technology at City University equips students with essential skills in design, building services, construction materials, and proficiency in CAD and 3D software, preparing graduates for roles such as architectural technician, draughtsperson, and site supervisor.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Studio Design 1 & 2, Computer Software Application, Graphic and Technical Drawing, Building Construction and Material 1, and Theory and History of Architecture.
Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Studio Design 3 & 4, Computer Aided Design (CAD) 1 & 2, Building Services, Building Construction and Material 2, and Environmental Science.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Studio Design 5, Architecture Publication, Principles of Architectural Practice and Management, culminating in Industrial Training.

Entry Requirements

SPM/SPMV/O-Level: Minimum 3 credits, including Mathematics.
STPM: Minimum 1 principal, with credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
STAM: Minimum Jayyid grade, with credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
SKM: Level 3, with credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
Certificate (Level 3, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
UEC: Grade B in 3 subjects, including Mathematics.
For international students: IELTS 4.0 or equivalent.
