Course Overview

The Bachelor of Electronics Engineering (Hons) at Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) equips students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to design and develop electronic systems, preparing graduates for roles such as Electronics Engineer, Communication Engineer, Design Engineer, Computer Engineer, and Test Engineer.

Program Structure

Year 1: Fundamental courses including Circuit Theory, Logic Systems, Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Electronics, complemented by practical labs and co-curricular activities.
Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Circuit and Signals, Communications Engineering, Control Systems Design, and Microelectronics, with hands-on laboratory sessions.
Year 3: Advanced subjects including Digital Communications, Computer Networks, Robotic & Automations, and VLSI Design, along with practical training.
Year 4: Specialization courses like Advanced IC Design, Digital Signal Processing, and a two-part thesis project, focusing on research and development.

Entry Requirements

STPM: Minimum 2 Principal Passes (including Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry).
A-Level: Minimum 2 Principal Passes (including Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry).
UEC: Minimum 5 Bs (including Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry).
Diploma/HND: Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
Foundation/Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
SAM/HSC/AUSMAT: TER/UAI: Average of 60% or higher in 5 subjects (including Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry).
CPU/CIMP: Average of 60% or higher in 6 subjects (including Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry).
IB: 26 points or higher based on 6 subjects.
Other Qualifications: As recognized by the Senate of IUKL as equivalent to STPM.
English Language Requirement: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL (PBT) 500, TOEFL (IBT) 42, PTE 47, MUET Band 3, or Cambridge English 154.
