Course Overview

The Diploma in Information Technology at INTI International University in Nilai provides students with a comprehensive understanding of computing principles, software development, and networking technologies. This program equips graduates with essential skills for roles such as Software Engineer, Web Developer, and Network Engineer.

Program Structure

Year 1: Courses include Database Management, Discrete Mathematics, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Fundamentals of Networking, Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction, Introduction to Internet Technologies, Program Logic Formulation, Quantitative Methods, Structured Programming, System Analysis and Design, and Writing Skills.
Year 2: Courses include Capstone Project, Object-Oriented Programming (Java), Fundamentals of Operating System, Business Intelligence, and Rapid Application Development. Students also choose electives such as Computer Ethics, Digital Image Editing, Fundamentals of Management, Computer Organisation, Fundamentals of Trustworthy Computing, and Introduction to Data Structure. An internship is compulsory.
IBM-ICE Modules: Introduction to IT Infrastructure Landscape, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, and IT Service Management.
MPU Subjects: Bahasa Kebangsaan A (for Malaysian students without a credit in SPM BM), Co-curriculum, Community Service and Co-curriculum, Malaysian Studies 2 (Local students) / Communicating in Malay 1B (International students), Media Literacy for Personal Branding, and Green Future Malaysia.

Entry Requirements

SPM/O-Level/Equivalent: 3 credits including Mathematics.
UEC: 3Bs including Mathematics.
Certificate: Pass and credit in SPM Mathematics.
English Language Requirements: IELTS Band 4.0, CAMBRIDGE CAE (160) / CEFR B2, CPE (180) / CEFR C1, MUET Band 2, TOEFL PBT (397), IBT (30-31), PTE 30.
