Research Methodology: Develops essential research skills and methodologies.
Proposal Defense: Presentation and defense of research proposals.
Research Thesis: Conducting original research leading to a thesis.
Viva Voce: Oral examination in the final year to defend the research findings.
Completion of a thesis is required to fulfill graduation requirements.

Entry Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, or its equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology or a related field with a CGPA between 2.50 and 2.75 may be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology or a related field with a CGPA below 2.50 may be accepted with a minimum of five years’ relevant working experience.
International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS or Band 4 in MUET, or its equivalent.
