The Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Honours) at Lincoln University College offers a comprehensive exploration of Islamic civilization and culture, encompassing areas such as religion, socio-economic structures, sciences, arts, and more. This program equips students with a deep understanding of Islamic history and contemporary issues, preparing graduates for diverse roles in sectors like banking, business, diplomacy, journalism, public service, teaching, and tourism.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Islamic History, Tawheed, Fiqh in Historical Perspective, and Uloom al-Quraan.
- Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Islamic Medieval History, Aqidah, Worldview and Civilizational Issues, and Arabic and Qur’an Reading.
- Year 3: Advanced topics such as Islamic Research Methodology, Islamic Counselling, Islam in the Modern World, and a thesis preparation.
Entry Requirements
- Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in one of the subjects of Islamic Studies or Arabic and one other subject.
- Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) or equivalent with the Maqbul Rank.
- Pass in A-Level with at least two subjects, including one Islamic Studies subject and one other subject.
- Pass in Matriculation/Foundation/Foundation of any universities/colleges/institutions offering foundation programs in related fields with a CGPA of 2.0.
- Diploma in Islamic Studies (Level 4, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) or in a related field with a CGPA of 2.0.
- Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
- International students must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English, such as an IELTS score of 5.0 or its equivalent.
