Course Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Hospitality Management at Lincoln University equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in hospitality operations and management. Through experiential learning and project-based approaches, graduates are prepared for leadership roles in hotels, resorts, food and beverage services, and management consulting companies.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Fundamentals of management, marketing, and hospitality accounting; introduction to hospitality and tourism management; language and communication skills.
- Year 2: Advanced topics in hotel and resort management, food and beverage management, event management, and human resources; practical kitchen operations.
- Year 3: Specialized courses in service operation management, hospitality marketing, revenue management, and strategic management; research methodology and entrepreneurship.
- Year 4: Industrial training and elective courses tailored to individual interests and career goals.
Entry Requirements
- Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two subjects.
- A-Level with at least Grade C (2.00) in two subjects.
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in five subjects.
- Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- APEL Route: Candidates must be 21 years or older, have relevant working experience, and pass the APEL assessment conducted by MQA.
- Other recognized qualifications equivalent to the above by the Malaysian government.
- English proficiency: IELTS score of at least 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550 for international students.
