The Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program at Lincoln University is a comprehensive five-year course designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and clinical skills required for a successful career in dentistry. Program Structure
- Preclinical Phase (Years 1–2): Focuses on foundational medical sciences and introductory dental courses, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Oral Biology, and Dental Materials.
- Clinical Phase (Years 3–5): Emphasizes hands-on clinical practice and community dentistry, covering areas such as Preventive Dentistry, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics, Periodontology, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Dental Research.
Entry Requirements
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM): 5 Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and another subject (excluding Art/KSI).
- General Certificate of Education Advanced ("A") Levels: Grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
- Diploma in Health Sciences: CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4), with a minimum of 2 Bs in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at SPM/O-Level, and credits in English, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and another subject.
- Degree in Medical Sciences (MBBS or Equivalent): CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4), with potential exemptions for relevant courses.
- Degree in Sciences/Life Sciences: CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4).
- Degree in Arts or Humanities: CGPA of 4.0 (out of 4).
- Applicants may be required to pass an aptitude test, interview, or university entrance examination.
