MAHSA University is the abbreviation of Malaysia United Health Sciences Research Institute, founded in 2004 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa (Mohamed Haniffa) the Prime Minister and the Executive Chairman of MAHSA Group. Professor Haniffa is a medical clinician. His vision involves the establishment of outstanding academic excellence in the fields of medicine, biological sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences, nursing, business, finance, hotel management, information technology, and engineering in Southeast Asia. Entering the second decade of the 21st century, MAHSA University envisions leading research and innovation in its field of expertise, which is driven by the needs and capabilities of IR4.0, as indicated by the results of its past research programs.

Course Overview
The Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Hons) at MAHSA University equips students with comprehensive skills in radiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound, preparing graduates for roles such as radiographer, mammographer, sonographer, and angiographer.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Imaging Physics, Patient Care in Professional Practice, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, and Instrumentation & Image Processing.
- Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Health Psychology, Medical Imaging Procedures, Image Evaluation & Interpretation, and Radiation Biology & Safety, along with initial clinical placements.
- Year 3: Advanced topics such as Sectional Imaging Anatomy, Computed Tomography, Radiographic Pathology, Mammography, and further clinical placements.
- Year 4: Specialized subjects including Comparative Medical Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Research Projects, and extensive clinical placements.
Entry Requirements
- Pass Matriculation/Pre-University/STPM or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.33 in two of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry.
- Pass A-level or equivalent with a minimum Grade D in two of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry.
- Pass Diploma (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field.
- Pass Diploma (Level 4 MQF) with a CGPA less than 2.75 in a related field and a minimum of 3 years working experience in the related field.
- Other recognized qualifications of equivalence.
- English proficiency: MUET Band 3, IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL 550.
