Course Overview

The Diploma in Environmental Health at MAHSA University is a comprehensive 3-year program designed for individuals passionate about health and environmental sciences. Program Structure

  • Year 1: Foundational courses including Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry for Environmental Health, Physics, Introduction to Environmental Health, Basic Mathematics, English for Academic Purpose, and Microbiology I.
  • Year 2: Intermediate subjects such as Food Microbiology and Technology, Environmental Toxicology, Pest & Vector Management, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Water Supply and Sewerage Management, and Environmental Health Risk Assessment.
  • Year 3: Advanced practical training covering Operational Area Administration, Surveillance and Control of Diseases, Health Education and Promotion, Food Hygiene and Safety, Water Quality Control, Environmental Sanitation and Building, Environmental Health Enforcement and Legal Procedures, Occupational Health & Safety, International Health Services, culminating in an Environmental Health Project and Professional Seminar.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM or equivalent with a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and 5 credits including Mathematics, one Science subject (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science), and any other three subjects.
  • GCE/O Level or equivalent with a pass in Bahasa Malaysia or English, and 5 Grade C in subjects including Mathematics, one Science subject, and any other three subjects.
  • Certificate (Level 3 MQF) related to Health Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
  • Other equivalent qualifications as recognized by the university.
