Course Overview
The Bachelor in Broadcasting (Hons) at Management and Science University (MSU) equips students with comprehensive skills in scriptwriting, multimedia creation, video production, audio recording, and program directing, preparing graduates for dynamic roles such as media director, video and audio editor, production crew member, news analyst, reporter, and television or radio production director.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Introduction to Mass Communication, Broadcasting Principles, Basic Video and Audio
- Year 2: Radio Broadcasting, Radio and TV Production, Script Writing for Electronic Media
- Year 3: Documentary, Media Analysis, Advanced Production Techniques
Entry Requirements
- STPM or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in 2 subjects and a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent
- STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in Media and Communication or equivalent
- Matriculation/Foundation or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent
- UEC with a minimum of Grade B in 5 subjects including English
- Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian government
- For international students: TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent
