Course Overview
The Bachelor in Nursing (Hons) at Management and Science University (MSU) is a comprehensive program designed to develop knowledgeable and skilled nurses who are compassionate and empathetic. This program equips students with essential skills in patient care, communication, and clinical practice, preparing graduates for roles such as Registered Nurse, Clinical Instructor, Ward Manager, Esthetic Nurse, and Research Assistant.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Pharmacology; Communication and Counselling in Nursing; Nursing Care I: Infections, Fluid and Electrolyte; Clinical Practice I and II
- Year 2: Microbiology and Parasitology; Obstetric and Gynaecology Nursing; Pediatric Nursing; Clinical Practice III and IV
- Year 3: Surgical Nursing; Eye and ENT Nursing; Clinical Practice V and VI
- Year 4: Gerontology Nursing; Professional Management in Nursing; Clinical Practice VII and VIII
Entry Requirements
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5
- Pass "A" level with a minimum Grade C in three subjects
- Pass Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.5
- Pass any Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (no credit transfer) equivalent to MQF Level 4
- Pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by the Malaysian Nursing Board with a minimum of two years clinical working experience (credit transfer allowed)
- Credit in Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science at SPM or its equivalent
- Credit in Mathematics (Elementary, Additional, or Modern) at SPM or its equivalent
- MUET with a minimum of Band 3, or IELTS with a minimum of 5.5, or TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80
- Credit in English at SPM
