Course Overview
The Bachelor of Islamic Banking (Hons) at Management and Science University (MSU) provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Islamic banking principles, equipping them with skills in financial risk management, Islamic investment, and Shariah compliance. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Risk Management Officer, Wealth Management Officer, Collections Officer, and Shariah Compliance Officer.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Islamic Capital Market, Islamic Bank Management, Islamic Economics, Accounting for Islamic Financial Institution
- Year 2: Financial Risk Management, Islamic Treasury, Takaful, Islamic Investment
- Year 3: Islamic Wealth Management, Ethics in Islamic Banking & Finance, Industrial Training
Entry Requirements
- Recognised Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
- Pass in STPM with two full passes and a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or its equivalent, and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
- Pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in MIF or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent; candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to an internal assessment process
- Any other Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
