Course Overview
The Bachelor of Management (Hons.) - ODL at Multimedia University (MMU) is a fully online program designed to equip students with essential business and management skills. This flexible learning mode allows students to study at their own pace, preparing graduates for diverse roles in human resource management, business management, project management, business development, sales, and education.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Principles of Financial Accounting, Management, Managerial Mathematics, Macroeconomics, Principles of Marketing, Financial Management 1, Organisational Behaviour, and Psychology.
- Year 2: Intermediate courses such as Microeconomics, Consumer Behaviour, Business & Society, Managerial Statistics, Managerial Accounting 1, Business Law, Critical Thinking, and Management Information System.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Management Decision Science, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, Project Management, Production & Operation Management, Industrial Relations, Small Business Management, Managing Innovation and Technology, and Leadership.
- Year 4: Specialized courses like ICT for Managers, Malaysian Economy, TQM for Managers, Research Methodology, Strategic Management, Training & Development, and Global Management.
- Electives: Students can choose from a range of electives such as Sales and Professional Selling Management, Cross Culture Management, Product Planning and Management, Organisational Development, Marketing Channel Management, and Retail Management.
Entry Requirements
- Pass Foundation/Matriculation studies with at least a CGPA of 2.00 from a recognized institution.
- Pass STPM or its equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Pass A-Level with a minimum of Grade D in any two subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Pass STAM with a minimum of Grade Jayyid (Good) in two subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent.
- Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B in at least five subjects inclusive of English or a minimum of Grade C in SPM/O-Level English or equivalent.
- Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, MQF) with at least a CGPA of 2.00.
- Pass DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 must have at least two years of work experience in the related field.
- APEL (A) Level 6 qualification.
