Course Overview

The Diploma in Creative Producing at Multimedia University (MMU) equips students with essential skills in storytelling, project management, and financing, preparing graduates for dynamic roles such as film producer, creative producer, and digital content producer.

Program Structure

Year 1: Courses include Ideation, Artistic Visualisation, Creative Expression, Storytelling Through The Lens, Pitching & Fundraising, Creative Proposal Writing, Production Management, Data Management, Creative Economy, Art History, Literary Readings, Introduction to Philosophy, Pop Culture, Creative Leadership, and Persuasive Media.
Year 2: Courses include Sound Appreciation, Short Media Content, Final Year Project, Cultural Entrepreneurship, Malaysian Creative Scene, Industry Technical Standards, History of Cinema, Cinema and Sociology, Social Media as Marketing Tools, and Industrial Training.

Entry Requirements

SPM/O-Level: Pass with a minimum of Grade C in at least three (3) subjects.
UEC: Pass with a minimum of Grade B in at least three (3) subjects.
STPM or equivalent: Pass with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in at least one (1) subject.
STAM: Pass with Grade Maqbul (Pass).
Recognised Creative Multimedia Certificate or equivalent.
Recognised related Technical and Vocational Certificate or equivalent with one (1) year relevant work experience or one (1) trimester bridging programme.
Pass SKM Level 3 or any qualifications equivalent to Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field.
Pass an interview or submission of a portfolio, as determined by MMU.
