Course Overview

The Foundation in Business at Multimedia University (MMU) is a comprehensive one-year programme designed to equip students with essential business knowledge and competencies. This foundation prepares graduates for further studies in various business disciplines, fostering skills in critical thinking, effective communication, and entrepreneurship through practical projects and industry engagements.

Program Structure

Trimester 1: Communicative English, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Basic Microeconomics, Group Dynamics, Mathematics
Trimester 2: Essential English, Critical Thinking, Introduction to Probability and Statistics, Introduction to Cost and Management Accounting, Fundamentals of Business Management, Computer System and Web Design
Trimester 3: Academic English, Basic Macroeconomics, Introduction to Personal Finance

Entry Requirements

Pass SPM/O-Level or its equivalent with a minimum of Grade C in at least five (5) subjects, inclusive of Mathematics and English; OR
Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B in at least four (4) subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English; OR
Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Career Opportunities

Upon completion, students can progress to related degree programmes in the Faculty of Business (FOB) or Faculty of Management (FOM) at MMU, leading to careers in accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, and international business.
