The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance at Nilai University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial management, taxation, and auditing. This program equips graduates with the analytical and quantitative skills necessary for careers as chartered accountants, finance controllers, company secretaries, external auditors, forensic accountants, and stockbrokers.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundation of Business, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Management Accounting, Business Economics for Financial Markets, Law for Business, and Quantitative Methods for Business.
- Year 2: Corporate Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Accounting Information System, and Auditing Theory.
- Year 3: Advanced Financial Accounting, Advanced Taxation, Auditing Practice, International Finance, Investments, and Business Synoptic in Accounting and Finance.
- Capstone: Business Synoptic in Accounting and Finance.
- Industrial Training: Internship.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: Pass with a minimum of Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two (2) subjects, including credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
- A-Level: Pass with a minimum Grade D in any two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at O-Level or its equivalent.
- STAM: Pass with a minimum Grade of Jayyid and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level.
- UEC: Pass with at least Grade B in five (5) subjects, including Mathematics.
- Foundation/Matriculation: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level.
- Diploma in Accounting or related field: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level.
- English Language Requirements for International Students:
- MUET: Minimum Band 3.5
- IELTS: Minimum Score 5.0
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum Score 40
- TOEFL Essentials Online: Minimum Score 7.5
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): Minimum Score 47
