The Master of Information Technology (By Research) at Nilai University is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and research skills in computing, preparing graduates for roles such as IT Consultant, Systems Analyst, and Research Scientist.
Program Structure
- Phase I – Pre-requisite Core Course (3 credit hours): Research Methodology and Statistics (Compulsory)
- Phase II – Preliminary Research: Initial research forming the basis for the proposal and project
- Phase III – Proposal Defence: Public presentation and defence of research proposals
- Phase IV – Thesis Preparation: Data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Phase V – Viva Voce: Oral defence of the completed thesis
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing with a CGPA of 2.00-3.00, subject to internal assessment
- Bachelor’s degree in non-computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in non-computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to appropriate prerequisite courses
- Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia, subject to HEP Senate approval
