Course Overview

The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at SEGi University, Kota Damansara Campus, offers a comprehensive education in medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, human genetics, and medical biochemistry. This program equips students with diagnostic, analytical, managerial, and research competencies, preparing graduates for diverse roles such as biomedical scientist, research scientist, and clinical biochemist.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses in Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, and Medical Microbiology.
Year 2: Intermediate studies including Haematology, Transfusion Science & Blood Banking, and Biostatistics.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Clinical Diagnostic Technology, Molecular Biology Technology, and a Research Project.

Entry Requirements

Pass Matriculation/Pre-University/STPM or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.33 in any two of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry.
UEC with minimum Grade B in five subjects, including Biology/Physics and Chemistry.
A-Level or equivalent with minimum Grade D in any two of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry.
Recognised diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field, or CGPA less than 2.75 with a minimum of three years (36 months) working experience in a related field.
English proficiency: MUET Band 3, IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL 550.
