Course Overview

The Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) at SEGi University, Kota Damansara Campus, is a comprehensive three-year programme designed to equip students with essential skills in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data science. Graduates are well-prepared for dynamic roles including digital strategist, IT application specialist, and digital transformation consultant.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses covering mathematics for computing, programming, computer architecture, operating systems, networks, data structures, object-oriented programming, database systems, and digital product management.
Year 2: Intermediate studies in information system security, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, project management, system development documentation, introduction to IoT, IT professionalism and ethics, and environmental management and technology.
Year 3: Advanced topics including final year projects, industrial attachment, and specialization modules in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, or data science.

Entry Requirements

Pass in Matriculation, Foundation studies, or STPM with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and Grade C in any two subjects, plus:
- O-Level/SPM – Additional Mathematics; or
- O-Level/SPM – Mathematics and a Science/ICT/Engineering subject (students may need to take a bridging course during the first semester).
Pass in STPM-Science with Grade C in Mathematics and a Science/ICT subject.
Pass in a relevant Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 from a recognized institution.
Pass in a relevant Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and pass SEGi's internal evaluation process.
For international students: IELTS with a minimum score of 5.0 or equivalent.
