Course Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Hons) Double Award in Early Childhood Education at SEGi University, in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills essential for nurturing young learners. This program prepares graduates for roles such as early childhood educators, curriculum developers, and childcare center managers.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Academic English, Introduction to Education, and Educational Psychology.
Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Ethics and Professionalism in Teaching, Classroom and Behaviour Management, and the first practicum experience.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Management and Leadership in Education, Research Project on Contemporary Issues, and multiple practicum sessions.
Specialization in Early Childhood Education: Courses like Play and Learning in Early Childhood, Assessment in Early Childhood, and Communication in Early Childhood: Language and Literacy Education.

Entry Requirements

STPM – with 2 principals (minimum Grade C) and a CGPA of 2.0.
A-Level – 2 subjects with grades A to D.
UEC – Grade B in 5 subjects.
Any related Diploma or Foundation qualification.
Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
