Course Overview

The Bachelor of Education (Hons) Double Award in Special Needs Education at SEGi University, in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), equips students with the skills to support and educate individuals with diverse learning needs. Graduates are prepared for roles such as special education teacher, educational consultant, and inclusion coordinator.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Academic English, Introduction to Education, and Educational Psychology.
Year 2: Intermediate studies focusing on Ethics and Professionalism in Teaching, Classroom and Behaviour Management, and the first practicum experience.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Management and Leadership in Education, Research Project, and multiple practicum sessions.
Specialisation in Special Needs Education: Courses include Introduction to Children with Special Needs, Instructional Strategies for Children with Special Needs, and Assessment and Evaluation in Special and Inclusive Education.
