Course Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) – Double Award in Business System Design at SEGi University, Kota Damansara Campus, equips students with advanced skills in information technology and business systems. This program emphasizes entrepreneurial and cognitive abilities, including analysis, synthesis, creativity, and evaluation, alongside essential problem-solving and communication skills. Graduates are prepared for specialist roles in the ICT and business sectors, such as Business Analyst, Systems Designer, and IT Consultant.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses covering Discrete Mathematics, Introductory Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Database Systems, Introduction to Networks, Object-Oriented Programming, Introduction to Operating Systems, Introduction to IoT, Web Project, Cyber Marketing, and Environmental Management and Technology.
Year 2: Intermediate topics including Academic Research, Windows Programming, Personal Health Management, Mobile Application Development, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship.
Year 3: Advanced subjects such as Final Year Project 1 & 2, Project Management, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Attachment, Advanced Database Systems, Computer Architecture, Big Data Analysis, and Data Mining.

Entry Requirements

Pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Pass in STPM or its equivalent with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Other relevant qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
For international students: IELTS with a minimum score of 5.0 or equivalent.
