The Diploma in Nursing at SEGi College Kuala Lumpur prepares students to become registered nurses, focusing on both the compassionate care and scientific aspects of healthcare. Graduates are equipped for roles such as Registered Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and Industrial Nurse.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses in Health Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, and Nursing Science, complemented by initial clinical practice.
- Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Microbiology, Parasitology, and specialized nursing fields, alongside continued clinical practice.
- Year 3: Advanced topics including Community Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Emergency Management, with extensive clinical practice.
Entry Requirements
- SPM with 3 credits including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics (Elementary/Modern/Additional), and a Science subject (Science/Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Applied/Additional Science), plus passes in two additional subjects, including English.
- O-Level/UEC with a pass in English and 5 credits including Mathematics and one Science subject.
- Community Nurse/Assistant Nurse Certificate with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
