Course Overview

The Bachelor of Fashion Design Technology (Honours) at Taylor's University equips students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in integrating the latest technology into fashion design. Graduates are prepared for dynamic roles such as fashion designer, fashion entrepreneur, fashion engineer, and fashion forecaster.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Design Principles, Introduction to Fashion Design, Pattern Drafting and Garment Making, Fashion Project 1, Garment Draping, Fashion Illustration, Fashion History, and Intercultural Design.
Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Fashion Project 2, Pattern Technology, Ethical and Sustainable Fashion, Innovative Industry Project, Innovative Pattern Drafting Project, Fashion Entrepreneurship, Digital Illustration, and elective modules.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Fashion Design Technology Final Project 1 & 2, Garment Creation Technology 1 & 2, Fashion Communication and Visual Merchandising, International Fashion, and elective modules.

Entry Requirements

Pass SPM/O-Level or equivalent with 5 credits for entry with foundation qualification.
Pass SPM/O-Level or equivalent with 3 credits for entry with diploma qualification.
Pass Visual Test (exempted for Taylor's FID, DID, and FNBE students).
English proficiency: IELTS Band 4.0 or equivalent.
