The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Taylor's University provides a comprehensive education in psychological theories, research methodologies, and practical applications. Program Structure
- Year 1: Introduction to Psychology, Human Personality, Learning & Motivation, Biological Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Quantitative Methods 1, Social Psychology, Group Dynamics, Cognitive Psychology.
- Year 2: Psychological Tests & Measurements, Quantitative Methods 2, Brain & Behaviour, Family Psychology, Qualitative Methods, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Ethics in Psychology, Leadership and Organisational Psychology.
- Year 3: Creative Integration Research Project, Industrial Training.
Entry Requirements
- STPM: CGPA 2.00 for 2 subjects with minimum Grade C for each subject.
- UEC: Pass with a minimum of 5Bs including Mathematics, Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science, and a pass in English.
- A Level: Minimum DD or equivalent of minimum 120 points.
- AUSMAT (SACEi): Minimum ATAR 50.
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Minimum average of 50% in 6 subjects.
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum 24 points in 6 subjects.
- Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY): 50%.
- Diploma in Psychology: CGPA 2.00.
- Taylor’s Foundation and Diploma programmes: Pass any Taylor's Foundation/Diploma programme with minimum CGPA 2.00.
- Foundation/Pre-University/Diploma from other institutions recognised by MOHE: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.00.
- MOHE Matriculation: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.00.
- DKM/DKLM/DVM: Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.50 subject to Senate approval, or graduated with a minimum CGPA 2.00 with at least two years of work experience in the related field.
- Other Equivalent Qualifications: Application via APEL A is allowed; the HEPs are required to conduct screening and provide appropriate bridging courses in Mathematics and Science; any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
