The programme prepares graduates for employment as professional chefs within the hospitality and tourism sectors, combining culinary creativity with essential business management and communication skills needed to organise and lead kitchen teams. A qualification in Culinary Arts is internationally recognised and supports global career mobility, with many graduates progressing to senior roles within leading hospitality brands worldwide. The programme covers both the theory and practice of professional cookery and includes structured work placements in Years 2 and 3. Placement opportunities may be completed with internationally renowned resorts and hospitality organisations in locations such as Cape Cod, Paris, London, and Dubai. Students should note that an approximate cost of €550 is required in the first week of college to cover class materials, knives, books, uniforms, and safety footwear. The programme benefits from an academic partnership between TUS and the Irish Hospitality Institute (IHI).
