The BA (Hons) in Business Studies with Sports Management combines sports and business modules to equip graduates with the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to pursue careers in sport or business management, enhancing employment prospects. The programme emphasises practical learning, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and develop professional networks through links with Sports Partnerships, the GAA, Camogie Association, FAI, Treaty United, Munster Rugby, Thomond Park Stadium, and Sport Ireland. Opportunities for placements, both in Ireland and overseas, further support career readiness. Designed for individuals with a passion for sport, the programme provides training in working with athletes, performance and health management, leadership, governance, sports development, marketing, sponsorship, finance, law, event management, economics, public relations, and human resource management. It is suitable for those with an interest in sport and business, regardless of athletic experience. Graduates can pursue roles across a broad spectrum of sectors, including national and multinational companies, national governing bodies, local sports partnerships, event management companies, professional clubs, sports agencies, accounting and financial institutions, consultancy, HR, marketing, sales, and business education. Graduates are also eligible to progress to Level 9 and 10 postgraduate programmes at TUS or other institutions.
