The BA (Hons) in Sports Development and Performance is a highly practical programme designed to equip graduates with the skills, knowledge, and competencies required for a wide range of roles in the sports industry, enhancing employment opportunities. Additional coaching certifications are available to further enhance qualifications and career prospects. The programme is suited to individuals with a passion for sport who aspire to work in a dynamic, global industry. It provides training in coaching, sports promotion, and the skills necessary to work effectively with athletes. Students develop leadership abilities and gain knowledge in sports development, resistance training and conditioning, exercise and health, talent identification and development, fitness testing, nutrition, psychology, sports injuries, and the application of modern coaching technologies. Graduates can pursue careers in diverse settings, including national governing bodies, local sports partnerships, professional clubs, community sports hubs, sports clubs, and youth organisations, as well as roles such as sports managers, coordinators, analysts, and other positions in private and public sector organisations. Graduates are also eligible to progress to Level 9 and 10 postgraduate programmes at TUS or other institutions.
