The BBus (Hons) in Business Studies (Enterprise and Innovation) is designed to provide a practical, hands-on approach to entrepreneurship and business development. The programme enables students to design and develop business ideas and plans from the outset, engage with real start-ups throughout their studies, and complete a full semester of work placement in Year 3, with the option to continue over the summer. Graduates develop both the creative thinking and management skills required to succeed in new business ventures, as well as the knowledge necessary to work in established businesses and entrepreneurial support organisations. Key elements of the programme include an “Active Enterprise Consultancy” project in Year 3 in collaboration with real start-up enterprises and the development of a full business plan in Year 4. The curriculum encourages independent and innovative thinking, allowing students to cultivate their own perspectives on society and to design the businesses of the future. On completion, graduates possess the enterprise, innovation, marketing, and management skills necessary to establish their own business or pursue a wide range of creative roles in corporate settings.
