The BBus (Hons) in Business Studies (Marketing and Management) is a modern and flexible degree designed to provide students with practical, hands-on business experience from the start. The programme integrates real-world business projects, opportunities to engage with actual companies, and a full semester of work placement in Year 3, with the option to continue working over the summer. Students can choose from electives in International Business, Entrepreneurship, Personal and Professional Development, and Language and Culture each year, alongside core business subjects, allowing them to tailor their studies to their career goals. The programme prepares graduates for management-level employment across a broad range of modern businesses, both nationally and internationally. It emphasises practical applications of business principles through hands-on projects, work-based learning, and small class sizes. The curriculum encourages independent and innovative thinking, helping students develop their own perspectives on society and the future of business. Graduates acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for roles such as Marketing Manager, Human Resource Manager, Global Sales Executive, Entrepreneur/Intrapreneur, International Public Relations and Advertising, Business Technology Manager, Market Researcher, and Executive Management. Successful graduates are eligible to progress to the Master of Business in International and Sustainable Business Strategy or the MSc in Digital Marketing & Analytics, with research bursaries available annually for those wishing to pursue a Level 9 or Level 10 (PhD) research programme.
