The LL.B. (Hons) in Law at TUS offers students the opportunity to study law alongside the practical skills needed to manage a legal business. The programme is delivered by lecturers with professional experience, allowing students to engage with real-life legal clinics, work placements, and mock court cases. Emphasis is placed on developing interpersonal skills alongside practical business management and legal competencies, including advocacy and legal research. In addition to traditional core law subjects, students can choose from advanced electives that address contemporary challenges such as legal technology, climate change, white-collar crime, and human rights law. Core business skills, including entrepreneurship and management, are also integrated into the curriculum. A one-semester work placement provides opportunities to enhance practical skills and professional networks, while participation in extra-curricular law societies, debating, and mooting competitions further develops students’ applied knowledge and experience. Lecturers, qualified as solicitors and barristers, bring professional practice insights to the programme, equipping students with practical understanding of navigating the legal profession. The course shares significant commonality with the first two years of the Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Business and Law, enabling students to transfer to the Business and Law programme if they wish to focus on business elements after the first or second year.
