Bachelor of Science - Built Environment - Common Entry at Technological University of the Shannon - Moylish

The BSc in Built Environment (Common Entry) is a one-year programme designed as a pathway into four Level 8 honours degree programmes in the Built Environment. Successful completion of this Common Entry Year allows progression into Year 2 of the BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, BSc (Hons) in Property Valuation & Management, BSc (Hons) in Construction Management, or BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering Management, subject to availability of places. Offered alongside the existing Level 8 honours degrees in the Department of the Built Environment, the Common Entry Year supports the Transitions Agenda in Irish Higher Education by facilitating smoother progression from second-level to third-level education. The programme provides an academically challenging introduction to the field, enabling students to develop foundational knowledge, skills, and competencies to contribute to the construction industry and society, regardless of the specialisation pursued in subsequent years.
