The BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering Management is a four-year sandwich programme designed in partnership with industry, combining civil engineering knowledge with management skills. The programme comprises two years of full-time study, one year of practical work experience (or equivalent), and a final year of full-time study. It equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary for civil engineering management. Graduates are prepared to manage the construction and maintenance of infrastructural developments, including bridges, marine works, tunnels, motorways, railways, airfields, and environmental projects such as water and wastewater systems, pipelines, waste management, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Employment opportunities for graduates include roles such as Site Engineer, Civil Project Manager, Civil Engineering Contractor, and Consulting Civil Engineer. Graduates find employment with Local Authorities, civil engineering contractors, and consulting engineering firms. The programme also provides a pathway for progression to postgraduate courses at TUS and other third-level universities and colleges.
