Course Overview

The BA (Hons) Marketing at UCSI University's Kuala Lumpur Campus equips students with analytical, strategic, and creative skills essential for the dynamic marketing landscape. Graduates are prepared for roles such as marketing manager, corporate branding consultant, and business development manager.

Program Structure

  • Year 1: Fundamentals of marketing, management, business accounting, microeconomics, organisational behaviour, business information systems, business communication, macroeconomics, introduction to digital marketing, statistics and its applications, and Co-Operative Placement 1. Elective options include sustainability in business or introduction to branding.
  • Year 2: Consumer behaviour, marketing analytics, marketing processes, managing people, entrepreneurship, financial management, business research methods, internet and SEO marketing, sales management, operations management, management ethics, and Co-Operative Placement 2.
  • Year 3: Social media marketing, strategic marketing, integrated marketing communications, marketing research projects A and B, services marketing, retail brand management, international sustainable marketing, current issues in marketing, strategic management, and Co-Operative Placement 3.

Entry Requirements

  • UCSI Foundation Year: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
  • STPM: Minimum 2 principals (C) (CGPA 2.0) in 2 subjects and pass in Mathematics and English at SPM Level.
  • A-Level: Minimum 2 principals (D).
  • UEC: Minimum 5 credits (B6) and pass (C8) in Mathematics and English.
  • National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects.
  • Canadian Pre-U: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects.
  • AUSMAT/HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE: Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects.
  • Diploma (business-related): Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
  • Other equivalent qualifications: To be reviewed by the faculty on a case-to-case basis.
