Course Overview

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Hospitality Management at UCSI University's Springhill Campus equips students with comprehensive business knowledge, practical skills, and industry experience, preparing graduates for leadership roles in the hospitality sector.

Program Structure

Year 1: Fundamentals of hospitality and tourism, food safety, business communication, culture and cuisine, restaurant operation management, and accommodation management.
Year 2: Research methodology, principles of marketing, event management, hospitality facilities management, commercial food production, and human resource management.
Year 3: Tourism planning and development, hospitality business leadership, financial management, independent projects, and cooperative placement.

Entry Requirements

Foundation Year: Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
STPM: Minimum 2 Principal (C).
A-Levels: Minimum 2 Principal (D).
UEC: Minimum 5 credits (B6).
National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26 credits from 6 subjects.
Canadian Pre-U: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects.
South Australian Matriculation (SAM): Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects.
Diploma (business-related): Minimum CGPA of 2.0.
English Language Requirements:
- MUET: Band 3.5.
- SPM English Language CEFR: Grade B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1).
- O-Level or IGCSE or SPM English 1119: Grade C.
- UEC English Language: Grade A2.
