Course Overview

The Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with Honours at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur integrates chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics to equip students with the skills necessary for careers in process engineering, environmental engineering, and product development.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Statistics, Technical Communication, Engineering Design and Drawing, and Applied Chemistry Laboratory.
Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Fluid Mechanics, Mass and Energy Balances, Thermodynamics, and an initial internship.
Year 3: Advanced subjects like Process Instrumentation, Chemical Process Simulation, Heat Transfer, and a second industrial training.

UEC: Minimum 5Bs including Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
CPU: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects, inclusive of a minimum score of 60% in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
Local Matriculation: Minimum CGPA 2.0.
Foundation from other University/College: Minimum CGPA 2.0.
WAEC/NECO: A maximum aggregate of 15 points out of best 5 subjects, inclusive of minimum B in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
Diploma/Advance Diploma/equivalent: Minimum CGPA 2.0.
Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%, inclusive of minimum 60% in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
International Baccalaureate: Minimum 26/42 points from 6 subjects (inclusive Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject).
SAM: Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects, inclusive of minimum scores of 60% in Mathematics and one relevant Physical Science subject.
