Course Overview

The Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Mobile Computing and Networking at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in mobile application development and network design. Program Structure

Year 1: Introduction to programming, discrete mathematics, computer organization and architecture, database management systems, object-oriented analysis and design, object-oriented programming, and internet technologies.
Year 2: Advanced topics including data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networking, mobile commerce, human-computer interaction, mobile programming, research methods in computing, and cloud computing application systems.
Year 3: Specialized courses such as network programming, mobile device technology and applications, mobile application development, mobile computing and networking projects, application layer programming, mobile services API integration, and network security design.

Entry Requirements

A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
A pass in STPM with a minimum grade of C (CGPA 2.00) in any two subjects; OR
A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid in any two subjects;
AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology, or Engineering subjects at SPM level or its equivalent. Candidates need to take a bridging Mathematics course equivalent to Additional Mathematics at the beginning of the study.
