Course Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur is a comprehensive four-year programme accredited by the Pharmacy Board Malaysia. This programme equips students with essential skills in physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, and clinical pharmacy, preparing graduates for diverse roles such as community pharmacist, hospital pharmacist, industrial pharmacist, and regulatory pharmacist.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including General Chemistry for Pharmacy, Introductory Physiology, and Basic Pharmacology.
Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Biochemistry for Pharmacy, Cardiovascular System and Pharmacotherapy, and Antimicrobial Therapy.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Pharmaceutical Analysis, Dosage Form Design, and Clinical Pharmacokinetics.
Year 4: Specialization with courses like Advanced Drug Delivery, Hospital Pharmacy Practice, and a final-year research project.

Entry Requirements

A-Levels: Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in Biology, Chemistry (minimum grade B), and Physics or Mathematics.
STPM: Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in Biology, Chemistry (minimum grade B), and Physics or Mathematics.
Matriculation/Foundation: CGPA 3.0 with minimum grade B in Chemistry, and SPM with 5Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics), and another subject.
Diploma: Diploma in Pharmacy or Health Sciences with CGPA 3.5, including specific SPM requirements.
English Language Requirement: IELTS Band 5.0, TOEFL iBT 42, or equivalent.
