Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science program at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in forensic biology, chemistry, and crime scene investigation, preparing graduates for careers in forensic laboratories, law enforcement agencies, and research institutions.

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses in chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, and microbiology.
Year 2: Advanced studies in forensic biology, organic chemistry, and forensic anthropology.
Year 3: Specialized subjects including forensic DNA profiling, forensic pathology, and criminal law.
Year 4: Capstone projects, digital forensics, crime scene investigation, and cooperative placements.

Entry Requirements

UCSI Foundation in Science: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, with at least 2.50 in Chemistry and Biology/Physics.
STPM: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, with principal passes in Chemistry and Biology/Physics.
A-Levels: Minimum Grade D in Chemistry and Biology/Physics.
UEC: Minimum Grade B in five subjects, including Chemistry and Biology/Physics.
National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, with at least 2.50 in Chemistry and Biology/Physics.
Diploma: Minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field; CGPA below 2.75 requires three years of relevant work experience.
English Language Requirements: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL PBT 550, or MUET Band 3.
