Program Structure

Year 1: Courses include History of Art & Design, Principles of Design, Creative Thinking Skills, Fundamentals of Drawing 1 & 2, Fashion Design Application, Pattern Construction & Sewing, Embroidery, History of Costume, Visual Merchandising, Textile Technology, and CAD for Basic Fashion.
Year 2: Courses include Fashion Design - Development and Presentation, Pattern Making and Fashion Sewing 1 & 2, Fashion Illustration 1 & 2, Draping Techniques, Marketing & Consumer Behaviour, Fashion Retailing, Ideation & Innovation, Cooperative Placement, Business Communication, and Business Law – Malaysian Perspective.

Entry Requirements

SPM: Minimum THREE (3) Credits
O-Level: Minimum Grade C in THREE (3) Subjects
STPM: Minimum Grade C in TWO (2) Subjects (GP 2.00)
A-Level: Minimum Grade D in TWO (2) Subjects
UEC: Minimum Grade B in THREE (3) Subjects
SKV: SKM Level 3 in related field. Pass in SPM with 1 Credit
Portfolio Assessment: Minimum 3 pieces of artwork are required for review
English Language Requirements: For local students: MUET Band 3; SPM English Language Grade B+; SPM English Language 1119/O-Level/IGCSE Grade C; UEC English Language Grade A2. For international students: MUET Band 3.0; IELTS 4; Pearson Test of English 36; TOEFL IBT 30 - 31; TOEFL Essentials 5; Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) 140.
