Course Overview

Program Structure

Year 1: Foundational courses including Therapeutic Communication Skills, Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Professional Nursing, and Fundamentals of Nursing, complemented by initial Nursing Practicum experiences.
Year 2: Intermediate studies covering Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, Care of the Paediatric Client, and Community & Gerontological Nursing, alongside continued Nursing Practicum sessions.
Year 3: Advanced topics such as Mental Health Nursing, Acute Care Nursing, Introduction to Nursing Research & Statistics, and Ward Management, culminating in comprehensive Nursing Practicum engagements.

Entry Requirements

For Malaysian Candidates: Minimum 3 credits in SPM, including Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, and a Science subject; pass in English and one other subject. Alternatively, pass SPM with an Assistant Nurse or Community Nurse Certificate, registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB), a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC), and at least three years of clinical experience.
For International Candidates: Equivalent qualifications with five subjects (minimum Grade C), including credits in Mathematics and a Science subject, plus a pass in English. English proficiency demonstrated by IELTS Band 5.5 or equivalent.
