The Foundation in Science at UCSI University's Springhill Campus provides students with a robust grounding in science and mathematics, preparing them for further studies in fields such as Applied Sciences, Engineering, Medical Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. This comprehensive programme equips students with essential skills and knowledge, facilitating a seamless transition into their chosen degree programmes.

Program Structure

Semester 1: Fundamentals of Mathematics, General Chemistry I, General Biology I, General Physics I, Computing Essentials
Semester 2: Algebra & Trigonometry, General Chemistry II, General Biology II, General Physics II, Introduction to Probability & Statistics
Semester 3: Introductory Calculus, Introduction to IR4.0 Technologies for Sustainable Development, and elective courses based on chosen pathway

Entry Requirements

SPM/O-Level: Minimum 5 credits, including Mathematics and one Science subject
UEC: Minimum Grade B in 3 subjects, including Mathematics and one Science subject
English Proficiency: Candidates with a minimum grade of A2 in UEC English Language, Band 2 in MUET, 30-31 in TOEFL, 4.0 in IELTS, grade C in O-Level or IGCSE or SPM English 1119, grade B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1) in CEFR, 140 in Cambridge English Qualification, 140 in Cambridge Linguaskill, and 36 in Pearson Test are exempted from SE004 Basic English and SE005 English Foundation. Other equivalent qualifications can be exempted on a case-by-case basis.
