Course Overview

The Master of Art & Design at UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur is a practice-based programme that equips students with innovative design thinking skills, preparing graduates for roles such as creative content creator, visual effects supervisor, fashion director, and design strategist.

Program Structure

Semester 1: Research Methodology, Graduate Seminar, Research Planning and Proposal Presentation
Semester 2: Master Thesis I
Semester 3: Master Thesis II with Project

Entry Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in the relevant field, as accepted by the HEP’s Senate; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with at least CGPA of 2.50 in the relevant field and has not achieved CGPA of 2.75, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with CGPA of less than 2.50 in the relevant field and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in the relevant field; OR
Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
Pass an interview OR submission of portfolio as determined by the HEP.
For international students: MUET Band 4.0, IELTS Band 5.5, Pearson Test of English 51, TOEFL IBT 46, TOEFL Essentials 8, or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) 160.
